We’re a growing team working on a powerful tool that provides instant personalised brand identity solutions (from amazing designers) to startups, entrepreneurs, individuals and businesses of all sizes. We’re also massively into being creative and helping everyone find the resources to make things happen. We are almost set to launch the second generation of our product and we need an ace Digital Marketing Executive/Manager to take us to the next level.

Time to get excited! The Digital Marketing Executive/Manager will join buildabrand as the first hire of the marketing team. We think this role is best-suited to an analytics guru that is comfortable working in a dynamic “all hands on deck” startup environment. In addition to being numerate with an analyst’s mindset, we’ll need you to understand our product and goals from day one and get up to speed quickly.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all customer acquisition and relationship marketing (CRM), as well as all marketing communications and brand management.

Essential functions will include:

  • Managing the marketing budget to achieve or exceed budgeted sales growth
  • Implementation and creation of marketing strategies/tactics to increase cost
    effective customer acquisition
  • Owning relationships with the agencies we’ve engaged for PPC/SEO, Affiliates marketing, PR and other marketing activities
  • Refine, own, and manage all the customer relationship activities, and drive testing and segmentation of these activities to increase customer retention and sales

Marketing objectives (aka your personal KPIs):

  • Conversion and microeconomic metrics, understand behaviours to refine/adapt strategy [PPC] – key focus for the first three months
  • Strategic Planning: target proven channels to launch full product
  • Engagement: establish a meaningful and growing group of active users/community
  • Organic take-up: produce a clear growth trend in organic traffic [SEO]
  • Virality: spread of buildabrand proposition/brand awareness [video/social/PR]

Job qualifications and experience needed:

  • First-class analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience (show us your numbers, please!) with analytics
  • Proven track record managing PPC, SEO, and affiliate marketing campaigns (big plus if in the SaaS market)
  • Ability to conduct testing and hands-on experience and knowledge of various digital measurement technologies (Mixpanel and Test&Target would be awesome)
  • Willingness and ability to be a key team player in a fast-growth startup environment
  • Not required, but having studied in a quantitative field (statistics, quantitative social science, econometrics, etc.) could be helpful
